In my art and image making, I use photography, collage, paint, and print-making. Sometimes these different mediums are used in combination. I am interested in layering and surface and creating depth. Recently, I have been working with oil paint on canvas
Landscape interests me, both urban and coastal, and my work, to date, has been made in response to urban areas of Edinburgh and coastal areas of Scotland. Motivation usually begins with an emotional response to what I see; nature, geology, social environment.
I have exhibited at; North Edinburgh Arts, Royal Scottish Academy Open Exhibition, Edinburgh College of Art, Fire Station Creative (Dunfermline), Dundas Street Gallery (Edinburgh).
During my working life, I undertook short courses and weekend courses in art and photography at Edinburgh College of Art, Leith School of Art, and Centre for Open Learning (Edinburgh University).
In 2017, I completed the Certificate in Higher Education: Art and Design (Edinburgh University).
